There are many causes of desert formation, and they can be caused by human activity as well as the result of an unfavorable climate. The fact is those vast areas of our planet are completely degraded and useless for humans and most forms of life. It is not only low rainfall that is the main cause of soil sterilization, degraded areas are characterized by high salinity with chlorides, sulfates, carbonates, and other chemicals. In addition, the development of industry, and the increase in emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases, cause the degradation of our planet, and the formation of desert areas.
We are pleased to announce that Kessler Projects for the World LTD is launching a program to revitalize the Negev Desert in Israel and to restore agricultural value. Everything will be based on energy tree plantations combined with the intercropping process. A pilot plantation will be built in Gilat, thanks to which the whole process will start.
